Prior to founding the firm, Ryan practiced law in the Los Angeles Office of one of the nation's oldest, largest, and most respected defense firms, Jones Day, where he represented Fortune 100 clients in multi-million dollar lawsuits. He represented corporate clients in employment and complex business lawsuits. He has also worked extensively on a variety of corporate transactions, including corporate formation and governance. Over the years, Ryan gained an invaluable familiarity with the practices of large corporations and, more importantly, the tactics of their attorneys. Now he puts his experience and insight to work on the other side of the table, fighting aggressively for individuals and small businesses.

Since founding the firm, Ryan has been widely successful in helping clients meet their goals. He has forced numerous Fortune 500 companies to compensate victims of unlawful discrimination, harassment and retaliation. He has also helped contractors and small businesses (as both defendants and plaintiffs) in various commercial disputes, including breach of contract, trade libel and slander, unfair business practices, as well construction, stop-notice and payment bond actions. He has successfully handled cases throughout southern California, from Los Angeles (including Pasadena, Santa Monica, Glendale, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Burbank) to Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego.

Ryan attended Howard University in Washington D.C. where he distinguished himself as a scholar and leader. He earned a full-tuition scholarship and ultimately a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude. Ryan’s hard work and leadership at Howard garnered the recognition of the University of Southern California Law School in Los Angeles, one of the nation's top law schools, where he was again awarded a full-tuition scholarship. While at USC Law, Ryan participated in moot court competitions, was active as a student leader, and finished among the top law students in his class.

Ryan is licensed to practice law in the state of California and is admitted to practice before each of the U.S. District Courts in California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ryan is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
